Dog Shows

The original aim for dog shows was to help breeders to evaluate their stock and thus promote quality breeding. Not forgetting this purpose, nevertheless most of the people who show their dogs today are common dog-owners who regard showing as a nice hobby.

The Labrador Retriever Club of Finland organizes both official and unofficial shows for Labradors.

Specialty Shows

With the permission of the Finnish Kennel Club there are three official breed specialties per year where CC’s are awarded. These shows are judged by breed specialists from all over the world and draw a high number of entries and therefore they offer a good picture of the quality of Labradors in Finland.

Club Show

Club Show is an unofficial English-type show for Labradors, organised yearly by the Labrador Retriever Club of Finland.

Club Show gathers a lot of breed fanciers every year who enjoy their day in a dog show and meeting with friends. Club Show draws the highest number of breed entries in Finland, and the Best in Show is a highly respected win.

Puppy & Veteran Show

Puppy& Veteran Show is an unofficial show organised by the Labrador Retriever Club of Finland. All puppies from 5 months to 15 months of age are welcome to participate. Veteran Show is for labradors aged 7 years and older.
